It's Almost June!

Know what that means?!?  My month-long sale will be over!  I've added new things to the website over the last few weeks and most everything is discounted.  Check out my sale page HERE.

Studio is juuuuuuuust about complete.  It's all about aesthetics, now.  YAY!  I've been out to the torch a couple days a week for the past few weeks working on some custom orders.  (If you're waiting for one, check your mail soon!)  I've been feeling rather frustrated, though, because it's so hard to crank it back up after being so inconsistent.  But my ROOM feels fantastic!!

It's....Almost.....Ready.....

So, I decided to revamp my studio in my prime lampworking time period (Feb-April).  Sounds silly, but I have been WAITING for this studio for almost 8 years.  (Can you believe that this past March was my 9 year anniversary of melting glass?)  We moved into this house 8.5 years ago....and I've been biding my time, saving my pennies and planning my studio ever since.  

And it is almost done!! :)  If you follow me on Instagram (username: bucklebottom), then you'll know what all has been done thus far.  I've also posted a bit on my personal Facebook page, but no one has seen the full transition quite yet.  I have one more step and then have to get all my glass organized, but I'm so very close to having the studio of my dreams.  I can TASTE it.  I will be able to fire it all up in the summer, too.  You HAVE to have A/C in the hot AZ summer.  And I got me an A/C!  

I don't have any new work to show you due to this overhaul, but I did want to announce that I will be running a Mother's Day special thru the month of May.  Look for deep discounts, new items and my Mother/Grandmother's bracelets with birthstone colors to match your family.  I should be back at the torch by Monday and I will be making stock for my birthstone beads.

I Heart Vintage

So, I've S-L-O-W-L-Y been adding bead time into my schedule.  I don't know why Christmas/New Year time always throws me off....  I guess cuz I crank out quite a bit during the tail end of the year, I just have a hard time WANTING to get back in the groove.  This year I am forcing the issue and, wouldn't you know it, I am loving it!  I mix other creative avenues into my "art" time, but I did manage to get a few things accomplished (bead-wise) over the past couple weeks.

It's Been Awhile, Eh?

So....I know.  Almost a year since my last post.  I have tons of excuses, but blah.  And I'm not here to make any empty promises or resolutions, either.  I'm really not a great blogger....that is obvious.  And I'm not super into networking - social or otherwise.  I make beads.  I make jewelry with my beads.  And then I have a hard time showing and telling! :-)

What I WILL tell you is that I will be updating my website (www.bucklebottom.com) with new pictures and items very shortly.  I have to take pictures and get them downloaded, but that will happen sooner rather than later.  I got a fab new camera that I'm hoping will jumpstart my year of getting back on the website, blog, bead track.  I get back to my regularly scheduled program next week when the kids get back in school.  SWEET!

In the meantime, let me know you're out there.....  Leave me a message and let me know you read this blog.  Just a "hi" will do.  If I get enough comments, I will update more regularly and keep you in the loop much more frequently.

The New Year!

I'm excited for all the "stuff" this year has to bring!  I'm in the process of getting my studio cleared out so that I can create in a space that feels a bit more comfortable!  The torch hasn't had it's usual pull....and I don't like that.  So, in effort to get that feeling back, I am reorganizing.  I hope to be back by March with new items and bead sets. :-)
